The School of Education at Boston University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of STEM Education position with a focus on Science Education. We are seeking a faculty member who shares Boston University School of Education’s commitment both to the preparation of STEM educators and to the advancement of research and scholarship in STEM Teacher Education.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in STEM Education. Other responsibilities include program advising for undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students; maintaining a productive program of research with an emphasis on STEM Education; and providing service to the department, college, university and the professional community.
This Assistant Professor position begins July 1, 2015. Applicants from diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Required Qualifications:
Earned doctorate in STEM education or a closely related academic area At least three years of public school teaching at the PK-12 school level A program of research focused on STEM education Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
Prior college or university teaching experience is highly desirable.
