Tenure Track Assistant Professor, PER at Saint Anselm College:
The Department of Physics at Saint Anselm College, a Roman Catholic undergraduate liberal arts college in Manchester, NH invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position to begin August 2015. Founded in 1889, Saint Anselm College is a Catholic, liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition. The community includes approximately 2,000 students, 145 full-time faculty members and 370 full-time staff in addition to the monks of Saint Anselm Abbey. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach a full range of undergraduate courses in physics (from introductory to advanced), as well as courses in the Department of Education, which lead to teaching credentials.

A Ph.D. in Physics, with a research emphasis in Physics Education Research and the necessary background to teach methods courses in the Department of Education is required. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level as well as scholarly research and exhibit the potential for conducting independent Physics Education Research. Although not a requirement, teaching experience at the undergraduate and the K-12 level is strongly preferred. Success in attaining external funding in PER is desired. Successful candidates will be able to assist the college to further its strategic goals for institution-wide diversity and inclusiveness.
