Position Summary 
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of New Mexico invites applications for a full-time lecturer position. Primary responsibilities include teaching three lower-division undergraduate physics and/or astronomy courses per semester. Duties will include assisting with core-course assessment. The assignment of Lecturer level I, II, or III will be commensurate with education and experience and the Lecturer III title requires a Ph.D. The expected start date is August 10, 2015 with classes beginning on August 17, 2015. 

Minimum Qualifications 
M.S. in physics or astrophysics is required. 

Preferred Qualifications 
Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. in physics or astrophysics, teaching experience in lower-division undergraduate classes, excellent student/peer evaluations, and a demonstrated ability to deliver lectures effectively, and to inspire students.
