The Department of Mathematics and Science is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time, non-tenure track, faculty appointment to teach undergraduate physics, chemistry, or general education non major physical science classes at our University Campus in Saint Leo, Florida.
Requirements of the incumbent include, but are not limited to teaching a minimum of eight (8) classes per year with up to two (2) overloads for additional compensation and advising students.
This is a nine (9) month, full-time faculty appointment at the Lecturer rank.
This position is pending final budgetary approval for the 2015-2016 academic year.

Basic Function:
The faculty member will be required to:
• Teach 8 undergraduate physics, chemistry, or general education non major physical science classes per academic year with two overloads for additional compensation;
• Advise students as need determined by department chair;
• Attend all School and Department meetings;
• Teach on-ground undergraduate classes;
• Be able to teach traditional and non-traditional age students.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:
A
Master’s degree or Ph.D. with at least 18 graduate credit hours in
physical sciences or a closely related field with two or more years of
full-time undergraduate physics, chemistry, or general education non
major physical science classes on campus at the post-secondary level are
required. The degree must be from a regionally accredited institution.
Minimum Qualifications:
The
minimum qualifications are a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate
credit hours in physics, chemistry, or a closely related physical
science field with two or more years of full-time teaching physics,
chemistry, or general education non major physical science at the
post-secondary level. The degree must be from a regionally accredited
institution.
Preferred Qualifications:
A
