The Physics Department is seeking a faculty member who has a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and research; the ability to teach undergraduate physics and astronomy courses to science and non-science majors; and who has a research specialty in one of the following areas: atmospheric and environmental physics; condensed matter physics; computational physics; astrophysics; physics education; or alternative sources of energy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teaching all levels of physics courses up to the bachelor degree level;
- Participating in curriculum review, revision and design;
- Participating in student advisement and departmental projects;
- Contributing to the development of teaching materials;
- Engaging in research and scholarly activities;
- Serving on departmental, School and college-wide committees.
- An earned PhD in Physics from an accredited institution;
- Excellent tertiary-level teaching experience;
- Evidence of research and scholarship.
