POSITION: The Department of Physics, Physical Science and Geology at California State University, Stanislaus, invites applications for a full-time lecturer faculty position beginning in Fall 2016 with 12-month contract. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to be an effective teacher and to work with students from diverse backgrounds. Responsibilities include teaching lower division service courses, upper division courses for Physics majors, and general education courses in Physics and Astronomy.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: We seek an applicant with a Ph.D. in Physics or a related field. Prior teaching experience is a plus. Applicants with any area of research specialization will be considered for this position, although an experimentalist and/or having astronomy background is preferred.
