Berry College invites applications for a one-year faculty position in physics beginning August 2016 as a sabbatical leave replacement. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. (for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor) or Master's (for appointment as instructor) in physics or a closely related field and a commitment to excellence in undergraduate physics teaching. Teaching duties likely include introductory algebra-based physics (lecture and lab) and upper-division modern physics for a total of 12 contract hours per semester. The department supports the use of active learning strategies and strongly encourages applications from women and minorities.
