Primary Function
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at The University of the South invites applications for a one-year sabbatical replacement position at the Visiting Assistant Professor level to begin in August 2016. There is a possibility for this position to be extended for a third semester.
Typical Duties & Responsibilities
Primary teaching responsibilities will be introductory physics lecture and laboratory. Active participation in research is expected.

Job Specifications/Position Qualifications (minimum)

Education
Preference will be given to candidates holding a Ph.D. in Physics or Astronomy, although ABDs will also be considered.
Experience
Candidates with expertise in any area of physics must show a demonstrated talent or enthusiasm for teaching.
