Job Summary/Responsibilities: | Non-tenure track Instructor position(s) are available beginning as early as Fall 2016; one full-time and one or more part-time positions. Full-time position is available for a term of one year. Part-time positions are available on a semester basis. Continuation of employment is possible, contingent on performance and the availability of adequate funding. Teach undergraduate classes in astronomy, physical science, physics or nuclear science. The full-time position normally teaches four courses/semester, but one course may be replaced with equivalent number of hours of department service if approved by the department. While the primary teaching duties for the full-time position will be introductory astronomy classes, an instructor may also teach other introductory classes in physical science, algebra based physics or calculus based physics. |
Required Qualifications: | Master's degree in astronomy, physics or a closely related field. |

Desired Qualifications: | Ph.D. (by August 14, 2016) in astronomy, physics or closely related field. A.B.D (All But Dissertation) candidates will also be considered, but must have Ph.D. by August 14, 2016. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in astronomy and previous teaching experience. |
