Position Summary |
The Department of Physics at SUNY Geneseo is seeking applicants for a Visiting Assistant Professor position to begin August, 2016. The appointment is for one year. Duties of the position include:
• Teach undergraduate courses in physics, including lecture and lab-based courses. • Opportunity to conduct research in physics with involvement of undergraduates in research highly encouraged. • Contribute to department functioning through committee service. • Contribute service to the discipline and/or community. |
Required Qualifications |
• PhD in Physics at time of appointment.
• Evidence of preparation to teach undergraduate lecture and lab courses. |
Preferred Qualifications |
• Prior successful teaching experience in Physics at the undergraduate level.
• Prior experience teaching or coordinating undergraduate lab sections. • Evidence of an active research program in physics with capability for involving undergraduate researchers. |
