1-Year Sabbatical Replacement, Truman State MO

Positions: One temporary sabbatical replacement faculty positions; available August 2017, pending funding. This position is one-year full-time appointment.

Responsibilities: Teaching a range of introductory and advanced undergraduate physics courses.

Required Qualifications:
· Ph.D. in Physics or related field. ABD (with Master's degree in Physics) will be considered with completion by the date of appointment.

Candidates will be evaluated on:
· Ability to teach a wide range of courses in an undergraduate physics curriculum
· Commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level
· Evidence of teaching effectiveness or potential teaching effectiveness
· Effective communication skills
· Previous experience at a liberal arts institution
· Research experience in physics or related field, as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications

Program: The Department of Physics is part of the School of Science and Mathematics at Truman State University. The department has 7 faculty members and approximately 80 undergraduate majors.
