The Physics Department at Manhattanville College is currently seeking an
adjunct instructor to teach two lab sections of PHY 1002 College
Physics II for the Spring 2017 semester. The sections will meet on
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:35 to 4:15 PM starting on January 24th,
2017 and ending on May 4th, 1017. A minimum of a Masters degree in
Physics is required, a prior college teaching experience is
preferable.
Course Description:
College Physics II is the
second semester in our one-year algebra-based introductory physics
sequence. Topics include Coulomb's law, electric field lines and
equipotential lines, magnetic field, Ohm's law, Kirchhoff's laws,
capacitors, inductors, RC and RLC circuits, oscillations and waves,
interference and diffraction, geometrical optics, and radioactive
decay.
