Evaluation Associate at Lawrence Hall of Science

Evaluation Associate: Educational Technology
The Center for Research, Evaluation, and Assessment (REA) at the Lawrence Hall of
Science designs evaluation studies to provide evidence about the effectiveness of LHS
programs, collaborates with external evaluators and assessment specialists, and
conducts applied research to inform practices of the LHS programs.

We are in search of an Evaluation Associate who will provide expertise regarding the
evaluation of educational technology products and programs. The appointee will
specialize in the evaluation of educational technology products and programs. The
appointee will design evaluation studies, coordinate and conduct data collection
activities (interviews, surveys, observations), conduct data analyses, prepare evaluation
and project reports, conduct and write literature reviews, assist in developing and writing
funding proposals, assist in the development and writing of Human Subjects protocols;
present and publish results in academic and professional venues; and perform other
duties to support of the REA Center.

Minimum qualitfications include:

REQUIRED: MA or MS in educational evaluation or related field required; Past relevant
work experience in educational evaluation with specific focus on multi-media technology;
survey development and administration experience; data management experience;
experience with statistical methods and quantitative analysis; ability to work with multiple
clients and subjects in a variety of settings; experience developing and implementing
Human Subjects protocols and working with CPHS to gain appropriate exemptions and
approvals; ability to work and communicate effectively with diverse audiences and
clients; experience working with learners in multiple settings, including K-12 schools.

PREFERRED: Ph.D., Ed.D; publication record and grant writing experience; project
management experience.

Salary Range: $55,464-$58,224
