One-Year Instructorship, Loyola Chicago

Duties and Responsibilities: Loyola University Chicago (LUC), College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Physics, invites candidates for a one-year, non-renewable, full-time, non-tenure-track position at the rank of Instructor beginning Academic Year 2015-2016. The department serves more than 150 majors and minors and has concentrations in the areas of physics, biophysics, theoretical physics, dual-degree engineering and education. Teaching responsibilities each semester shall include sections of introductory physics lectures, and a combination of introductory and advanced labs or other courses. In addition, the successful candidate will also direct a section of Freshman Projects each Spring Semester, which is a one-credit research course for first-year physics students. 

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must have a Master's Degree or higher in physics or a related field. Candidates for the position should have a record of distinguished teaching and student mentorship, and must clearly demonstrate the potential for continued excellence in teaching
