One-Year Instructorship, Springfield College MA

Springfield College invites applications for a one year, nine month appointment for an Instructor of Physics in the Department of Math/Physics/Computer Science. Responsibilities include: teaching a pre-calculus-based full-year General Physics lecture and General Physics laboratory for each semester, consisting of two three-hour lectures and three two-hour laboratory sections, totaling twelve contact hours. The Instructor will collaborate with the Physics Laboratory Instructor, who will be assisting in laboratory equipment and experiment set-ups.
Requirements include: a minimum of a Master's Degree in physics, Ph.D. in physics preferred. Experience teaching with excellent communication skills with demonstrated creativity and flexibility in teaching non-physics major students.
