The Department of Physics at North Dakota State University is seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor or Lecturer in Physics for a one-year appointment beginning August 16, 2015. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching two lecture courses per semester.
Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in physics or related field for appointment at the Visiting Assistant Professor level or Masters in physics or related field for appointment at the Lecturer level. Demonstrated ability to teach both large-enrollment introductory service courses, including Astronomy, and upper level (300 and 400/600) physics courses. Effective oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of and interest in applying active learning instruction techniques; ability to mentor undergraduate learning assistants.
