Job Summary/Essential Functions The Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Physics in the College of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics at Eastern Washington University invites applications to fill a non-tenure-track Lecturer position to begin September 2016. The Department offers BA and BS degrees in Physics as well as a BAE degree for physics teachers. 

Responsibilities will focus on teaching physical science, introductory physics and/or general physics. This position is a full time Lecturer position, with a 45-credit workload distributed over a 3-quarter academic year, and has an emphasis on classroom instruction (some courses involve related laboratory courses). 

We seek candidates with a passion and the desire to teach lower division physics courses as a long term endeavor, and thereby contribute to the quality of our program and the success of our students. Other teaching assignments will depend on departmental needs and applicant expertise. Lecturer positions do not include research as part of their workload.

---Other experience demonstrating potential for excellence in teaching physics will also be considered. 

Additionally, candidates must offer ability, experience and/or interest in promoting cultural competency and/or diversity.
