PHYSICS/ASTRONOMY, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, University of Nebraska at Kearney.  The Department of Physics and Physical Science invites applications for a tenure-track position to begin in August 2017.  UNK is a primarily undergraduate institution, and the Department of Physics and Astronomy offers degrees in Physics, Astronomy, and Physical Science, with courses in physics, astronomy, physical science, meteorology, Earth science, and more.  The successful applicant will have a strong commitment to undergraduate education and will be expected to teach introductory and advanced courses.  Upper-level teaching responsibilities will depend on the candidates' background and experience.  The candidates are also expected to develop externally funded research programs engaging undergraduate students.  A Ph.D. in physics, astronomy, or related field is required; ABD will be conditionally considered.
