FT Instructor, Mississippi Gulf Coast CC

The Jackson County Campus of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Gautier, MS, invites applicants to apply for a full-time Physics Instructor position. The start date is August 2017. The primary teaching responsibilities for Fall 2017 will include courses in Physical Science I, General Physics I, and Calculus Based Physics I. MANDATORY: (M1) Master’s degree in Physics or Master’s degree with a minimum of eighteen graduate semester hours in physics from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning. (M2) Teaching experience. (M3) Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. (M4) Familiarity with Internet, email, and word processing functions.

PREFERRED:  (D1) Master’s degree or higher in Physics. (D2) Experience in teaching at the community college and/or college-level. (D3) Multi-media instructional delivery experience. (D4) Functional knowledge of online teaching.
