FT Lecturer, Washington University in St. Louis, MO

The Department of Physics at Washington University in St. Louis seeks a full time (12 month) lecturer, beginning as early as July 1, 2017. Responsibilities primarily include teaching two sections of an active learning introductory calculus-based physics sequence. In addition, the lecturer will work with other faculty teaching in an active learning format to provide additional help services to students, and to oversee and assist with aspects of course management. Other duties may include physics outreach and other departmental responsibilities, as needed. This non-tenure-track faculty position is initially for one year, with the possibility of renewal in subsequent years.

Required Qualifications
A successful applicant must have a Ph.D. in physics, teaching experience, and should have demonstrated a strong interest in physics education. Knowledge of current pedagogical trends is also desirable.

Salary Range
The hiring range for this position is commensurate with experience.
