TUteach(http://www.temple.edu/cst/tuteach/) is an innovative new undergraduate program for the preparation of secondary math and science teachers based on the highly successful UTeach program developed by the University of Texas at Austin (http://www.uteach-institute.org/). The program is dedicated to recruiting and training math and science majors to become successful high school teachers. As such, the program includes a variety of early and strategic field experiences, beginning in the freshman year; incentives for student participation in early classes; streamlined, content-specific pedagogy coursework; community-building activities and resources; and intense student advising and support.

The adjunct Master Teacher will work closely with current TUteach faculty to teach a section of the introductory course "Step-1: An Introduction to Inquiry-based Teaching," advise and mentor students, and perform other duties as assigned. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The Step-1 class will be offered in the late afternoon so that qualified in-service high school teachers can be considered for this position.
