Job Description
The Physics and Astronomy Department at the University of San Francisco invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level anticipated to begin in the Fall of 2009. Preference will be given to applicants with background and research interests in Astrophysics and/or Astronomy.
Essential Job Responsibilities The position will involve teaching a broad range of undergraduate physics and astronomy courses within our existing physics major and anticipated astronomy minor. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to develop a research program with active participation of undergraduate students.
Requirements
Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the university level and a Ph.D. in Physics or Astronomy by Fall 2009 are required.
