Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) Elementary Science Education

The Department of Education seeks a faculty member to join our dynamic and growing Teacher Education Program. This is a full-time, nine-month tenure-track union position at the rank of Assistant Professor, starting September 2009.
The successful candidate will have a vision for teacher education in the 21st century and an interest in collaborating with others to support a dynamic teacher education program and vibrant research agenda. Advising and committee service responsibilities, and opportunities to teach and advise doctoral students. Research productivity is essential as well as service and outreach activities in the College, University, region, and nation.
Earned doctorate with a focus in science education; an established area of scholarship; a commitment to, and experience in, working with public school and state partnerships; successful K-12 teaching experience.
