New York University Abu Dhabi is currently inviting applications for Professor of Practice in the Physics program. The initial appointment can be at the assistant, associate, or full professor rank. The emphasis of the position is the instruction of undergraduate students. We encourage applications from candidates with outstanding pedagogical backgrounds and teaching experience. The successful applicant will also be expected to become involved in research with undergraduate students; funds will be made available for this purpose. The initial appointment is for a period of 3 years with the possibility of renewal.
The terms of employment are highly competitive and include subsidies for housing and for education of children and dependents. NYUAD faculty also may spend time at NYU in New York City and other sites of the global network, engaging in both research and teaching. The appointment is scheduled to begin on September 1, 2012, but could be postponed until September 1, 2013.
