Assistant Professor in Mathematics and Technology Education
School of Education

Drake University School of Education seeks a 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Mathematics and Technology Education beginning August 2012. An earned Ph.D. or Ed.D. is expected. ABD applicants will be considered if the dissertation defense has been scheduled.

The successful candidate will have a record of collaboration and service within and across programs and a commitment to academic excellence and integration of liberal and professional education. Professional experience inpK-12 schools and specific experience in math education at the elementary level is preferred. The candidate should hold a U.S. teaching certificate (in any state) and demonstrate experience in and a commitment to excellence using technology in teaching and learning.

Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate education courses including Educational Technology, Teaching of Mathematics, and additional courses that fit the candidate’s strengths. The 3-3 course load includes undergraduate and graduate content in Mathematics and Technology Education. Successfulcandidates will have a developing record of scholarship that will support the expectation of ongoing scholarly productivity. Candidates with departmental or administrative aspirations over time are encouraged to apply.
