The Physics Department at State University of New York College at Plattsburgh invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor, effective August 2012.
Responsibilities include: The successful candidate will teach introductory and advanced Physics courses. In addition to teaching, responsibilities include scholarship, student advising, and departmental and university service.
Required Qualifications: A Ph. D. in Physics or Engineering and a strong commitment to teaching undergraduate courses at all levels, including courses for non-majors, is required, as is a commitment to mentor undergraduate research.
Preferred Qualifications: Biophysics or Engineering preferred.
Salary: $45,000 per year minimum, plus excellent benefits.
