2 Adjunct Positions at Elon University

The Department of Physics at Elon University seeks applicants for two Adjunct Professor positions for the 2012 Spring semester (January 31 to May 15).

The first class to be covered, Conceptual Physics, meets two afternoon per week from 3:35 to 5:15 PM on Monday and Wednesday. This is a course for non-majors and commonly uses Conceptual Physics by Hewitt or How Things Work by Bloomfield as a textbook.

The second class to be covered, University Physics II, meets three nights a week from 5:30 to 7:10 PM on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching using the Matter & Interactions curriculum.

An M.S. or Ph.D. in Physics, Engineering, Astronomy, or a related field is required for consideration.
