The Department of Physics at Millersville University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning August 2012. The Department of Physics, in the School of Science and Mathematics, is comprised of seven full-time faculty members, one regular part-time faculty, a laboratory technician and a half-time secretary. The Department serves about 800 students annually and has graduated an average of nine physics majors each year for the past 10 years. The department offers nine programs leading to baccalaureate degrees in traditional physics, cooperative engineering and physics education. Required: PhD in experimental physics, demonstrated record of excellence in teaching undergraduate physics and research interests that can involve senior physics majors.
