Tenure-track faculty position available August 17, 2012. Responsibilities: teach undergraduate and graduate courses in physics; conduct and disseminate research and actively seek external funding to support this research; supervise undergraduate and graduate student research activities; participate in service activities appropriate for a tenure-track position.
Minimum qualifications: Ph.D. in physics completed by the time of application; research experience compatible with current research in physics in the department; one year of formal teaching experience at the college level which may include typical graduate assistantship assignments; effective communication skills in both classroom and laboratory settings.
Preferred qualifications: one year of formal teaching experience with primary responsibility for courses/labs which may include undergraduate and graduate college level courses; record of successful grant activity.
