Westminster College seeks candidates who would like to enhance their teaching repertoire with experience in Workshop Physics. Workshop Physics is a non-traditional, hands-on, group-based approach to physics learning. Students learn collaboratively through activities, observations, and experiments. We require a Ph.D, in Physics, a related field, in hand by August 2012. Primary responsibilities will be to teach two sections of beginning physics for physical science majors (calculus based) or two sections of beginning physics for biology majors (non-calculus). Sections have a maximum of 24 students. Westminster College is committed to diversity. We strongly encourage applications from candidates that have been historically underrepresented in physics education.
