The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Carleton College is seeking applications for one or more temporary, one-year positions (with the possibility for renewal) at the Assistant Professor level starting September 2012. We seek a recent PhD in experimental, computational or theoretical physics with a strong commitment to teaching in a liberal-arts environment. Involvement of undergraduate students in research is strongly encouraged but not required for this position. Carleton College is a highly selective liberal arts college with about 2000 undergraduates located 45 miles south of Minneapolis/St. Paul and is on a three term per year schedule.
