1-yr Upper School Physics Teacher at The Blake School

The Blake School seeks to hire a dynamic Physics teacher capable of teaching at all levels, including Regular, Honors, and AP Physics C, in Grades 11-12. This is a one-year position to cover a sabbatical leave for the 2013-2014 school year. The ideal candidate has extensive classroom experience, demonstrated skills in inquiry-based instruction, and strong familiarity with physics education research. Experience working with the High School Physics Modeling curriculum and Tutorials in Introductory Physics is preferable. Additional duties include academic advising for a sophomore homeroom and participation in divisional and all-school meetings and events. Some additional responsibilities will include assisting with the departments transition into a newly renovated science wing, The Center for Science, Design, and Research.
