Temporary Faculty Positions in Physics

The Department of Physics invites applications for two nearly full-time positions to begin
August 2013. We expect that our need for temporary faculty to fill these positions will not
diminish in coming years. Duties will focus on providing excellent instruction in both lecture
and laboratory components of our one-year algebra based introductory physics courses (14/
15 full-time teaching load). The minimum requirement is a Master’s degree in Physics or
Physics Education (Preference will be given to candidates showing a record of innovation
in physics instruction). The successful candidate(s) will also be expected to work with other
faculty in the department to improve instructional effectiveness by applying the insights of
