VAP at University of Findlay, OH
The Department of Physical Sciences at The University of Findlay, a
liberal arts institution, invites applications for a visiting professor
faculty position for the 2013-2014 academic year. Currently, physics at
UF is a non-degree, service area program. Applicants must have a Ph.D.
in Physics, Biophysics, Astronomy, Engineering or closely-related area.
Preference will be given to those with enthusiasm and experience in
undergraduate teaching. Responsibilities would include teaching of
general physics and introductory astronomy courses, managing UF’s
planetarium, and participating in curriculum development for a proposed
materials science major. Supervision of undergraduate research is an
expectation but not a requirement. Submit a cover letter, curriculum
vitae, statement of teaching philosophy, transcripts, and three letters
