FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Department of Physics at Queens College invites applications for a
full-time position at the rank of Lecturer (Doctoral Schedule) starting
in the Fall 2014 semester. The duties of this position include
teaching undergraduate courses in physics, enhancing undergraduate
laboratories, serving on departmental and college committees, and
advising students. This position requires 27 credit-hours of classroom
teaching per year, with no released time for research or administrative
activities. A Certificate of Continuous Employment from CUNY would be
earned with reappointment for a sixth year.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ph.D. in Physics or a related area required

Must have at least two years of teaching experience at the college
level, including full responsibility for courses at or above
introductory physics level
- Experience with developing undergraduate laboratory experiments
- Experience with use of modern technology in lectures and labs
