Responsible for full-time faculty workload per the Faculty Association Agreement, which primarily includes teaching courses in a variety of delivery modes in Physics at the conceptual, algebra-based and calculus-based levels. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: collaborating in course coordination, development and improvement; advising students and meeting scheduled office hours; orienting and mentoring faculty colleagues; and participating on departmental, divisional and college-wide teams. Must demonstrate a commitment to diversity and student success initiatives; participate in course assessment; work effectively in a team-based environment; support continuous improvement and adherence to the community college philosophy; and, remain current in both subject area and teaching methodologies.
Masters degree or higher required in Physics or related field. Minimum 2 years teaching physics at the college level is required. Posting close dates are subject to change. |
