East Central College, a comprehensive community college located in
Union, Missouri, has an opening for a full time 9-month position
teaching
undergraduate courses in Pre-Engineering. Courses may be taught at ECC
Main Campus or satellite location and may include day and/or evening
schedule. Advisement of students is also a responsibility of the
position. Instructor is expected to develop an active learning
environment
with use of effective instructional technology. Summer teaching is
optional.
Minimum Qualifications: Earned a
Master's degree in Engineering or Physics. Community College teaching experience.
Special Skills: Communication
skills,
including oral, written, and/or nonverbal, Knowledge of a College
environment preferred, Human Relations/Interpersonal skills,
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines,
Maintain confidentiality, Excellent collaborative skills, Competence in
instructional technology, Attention to detail.
Minimum starting salary: commensurate with experience (9-month
contract); Excellent medical, dental, vision and life insurance provided
