NORTHWESTERN COLLEGE invites applications for
a tenure-track position in PHYSICS beginning August 2014. We seek a
candidate with passion for and excellence in teaching introductory
physics, astronomy, and other courses in the physics minor (classical
dynamics, modern physics, electronics, engineering statics). The
successful candidate will also be responsible for scholarship and
service, including recruiting and advising 3-2 and pre-engineering
students.
Preferred qualifications include a Ph.D. or Ed.D. in physics or physics teaching (ABD considered), teaching experience and a demonstrated commitment to superior teaching, research, and college service. Candidates with significant coursework beyond the master’s degree and a strong teaching record are also encouraged to apply.
