The Department of Physics and Astronomy (http://www.physast.uga.edu/) at The University of Georgia (http://www.uga.edu/) seeks to hire in two instructional positions: one Lecturer and one Assistant Professor Limited-Term.  Both are full-time, non-tenure track faculty positions. The Lecturer is a long-term appointment, while the Assistant Professor Limited-Term is temporary (maximum 2-3 years).

Both hires will primarily teach in the Department’s general physics programs, and applicants must be committed to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level.  In addition, the Assistant Professor Limited-Term will be expected to pursue an active research/scholarship program with a member of the faculty.

The starting date for both positions is August 2016.  A Ph.D. in Physics, Astronomy, or related field is required at the time of job offer.  Candidates should submit a cover letter, a current vita, unofficial undergraduate and graduate transcripts, and a description of teaching philosophy online at
