TT at University of Cincinnati - Clermont

University of Cincinnati - Clermont invites applications for the following faculty position beginning September 1, 2009 unless otherwise indicated. UC Clermont is an open admission branch campus of the University of Cincinnati located in the Cincinnati metropolitan area, with an enrollment of approximately 3,000 students. The college offers a variety of certificates, two-year technical degrees, and transfer programs.
Faculty responsibilities include teaching 12-credit hours per quarter (autumn, winter, spring) unless otherwise indicated, ongoing scholarship/research, service to the department, College, University, and Community, and willingness to participate in all normal department duties. All candidates must demonstrate/provide evidence of effective teaching and professional development. All doctorial candidates must have their degree awarded before September 1, 2009 to be eligible for the position.
Job Description: Teaching responsibilities include teaching day and evening classes and may include lecture and labs in conceptual through calculus-based physics and astronomy.

Min Quals.: A doctorate in physics or closely related field and college-level teaching experience as the primary instructor of physics courses. Teaching experience either as an adjunct or full-time faculty member is acceptable.

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Physics; have two or more years of college-level teaching experience; and knowledgeable in the Physics Education Research area.
