VAP at Univ. of St. Thomas (Houston)

The Chemistry and Physics Department of the University of St. Thomas anticipates an opening for a one-year, non-tenure track (15 August 2010 to 20 May 2011) teaching position. The term will cover the fall and spring semesters. The courses to be taught are: Fall - General Physics I and II Labs, General Physics II lecture, Mechanics I (Engineering Statics); Spring - General Physics I and II labs, General Physics I lecture, and Mechanics II (Engineering Dynamics).

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Physics. Compensation is competitive. Candidates must also be willing to support the university's mission of educating leaders of faith and character. Interviews will be ongoing until a suitable candidate is found.
