TT at University of Tennessee at Martin

One tenure-track Assistant Professor in Physics position starting August 1, 2013 is open at The University of Tennessee at Martin and an earned Ph.D. in Physics is required.  Candidates with coursework completed toward a doctorate and significant progress in their dissertation may also be considered.  Evidence of an ability to teach effectively in English is required.  Preference will be given to experimentalists with experience in teaching undergraduate courses and with scholarly promise.  Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate physics courses and associated laboratories including upper level courses.  Expected teaching load is nine hours of lecture and six hours of laboratory per week.  Additional responsibilities include advising, committee service, public service, scholarly activity, and directing student projects.
