Assistant/Associate Professorship at Winona State University

Winona State University invites you to join our Community of Learners as an Assistant/Associate Professor of Physics. As a faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching the Science Methods class(es) for secondary science pre-service teaching majors and assess the effectiveness of these courses as well as the science teacher preparation programs at WSU. Additional duties include: 1) participating in the teaching of the science-content class designed for pre-service elementary teaching majors; 2) teaching/developing undergraduate physics courses for both the Physics major and General Education; 3) developing/conducting/supervising projects and research activities with undergraduates; and 4) advising and mentoring physics majors. If you possess a Ph.D. in Physics or closely related field – OR – a terminal degree in Science Education with significant experience in physics or a closely related field (by 8/2013) and have at least one year of 9-12 (high school) classroom experience, we encourage you to apply.
