The Rowan University Department of Physics and Astronomy invites
applications for a one-year part-time (3/4 time) faculty position
beginning
Fall 2013. We seek candidates who are interested in teaching physics at
both the beginning and advanced levels.
The successful
candidate will have the opportunity to participate in current research
programs within our department. We have eight active research
facilities that foster student/faculty collaborative research including
labs for magnetics, physical properties, thin film fabrication,
microscopy, biophysics, laser cooling, computational physics, and
astronomy and astrophysics.
A Ph.D. degree in Physics or related
field is preferred, but ABD and/or M.S. degree may be considered. Teaching experience is a plus.
Starting Date: September 1, 2013
Salary: Competitive
All positions are contingent upon budget appropriations.
