TT Assistant Professor at Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology


Job description:
Vaughn College is seeking a full-time assistant professor to teach undergraduate physics courses for both engineering and non-engineering students. Additional responsibilities include assisting the department chair with 1) the assessment and evaluation of physics courses, 2) continual development of physics curriculum for engineering, and 3) the design of a holistic learning experience including learning communities, supplemental instruction and alternative teaching modalities.

Minimum qualifications:
PhD in Physics as well as two years of teaching experience at the college level. The candidate should possess the ability to work closely with colleagues and initiate collaborations with faculty from other disciplines. Experience with integrating technology into the teaching of physics, curriculum development and a willingness to collaborate with the teaching and learning center is required. An interest in building a research component for undergraduate students is desired.
