VISITING FACULTY POSITION IN PHYSICS

The UAB Department of Physics, http://www.uab.edu/physics/ invites applications for a visiting assistant professor to fill a vacancy for one to two years beginning Fall 2013. This full-time temporary, non-tenure track position requires teaching introductory physics courses and possibly introductory astronomy and/or upper-level physics courses. Additional service to the department may include assistance with student advising and graduate TA training. The candidate must have a Ph.D. in Physics or related field. Preference will be given to applicants who have had experience teaching engineering and/or pre-medical students at an introductory level.
