Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
Required:
• A master's degree in physics or the equivalent by date of hire.
• An established strong teaching record in an area of, or closely related to, undergraduate physics and astronomy.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated effective skills in safely conducting laboratory instruction.
• Demonstrated effective skills in developing and teaching laboratory activities using up-to-date pedagogical techniques.
Preferred:
• Demonstrated successful experience in a supervisory role.
• Demonstrated record of successful performance in collaborative settings.
• Coursework in physics beyond the master's level.
