The Physics Department of Rutgers University-Newark is seeking to fill an emergency one-year opening for a full-time non-tenure track instructor, beginning in September 2016. The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field, with experience in undergraduate physics teaching and advising. In addition to playing a role in the introductory physics courses, the successful applicant will teach Introductory Astronomy for science and liberal arts students and Application of Mathematics to Physics for science majors. Interest in the research areas of current Rutgers faculty is encouraged.
