The Department of Chemistry and Physics at Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, IN, is seeking to fill a tenure-track assistant professor position in physics. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in physics, or a closely related field, and a strong commitment to undergraduate education.
Research appropriate to an undergraduate institution is expected. The
physics program at Saint Mary’s is part of a joint department with
chemistry and, as a service program, offers courses to support a variety
of majors. The department is interested in expanding its offerings to
create additional upper level physics courses which would support a
minor in physics. The applicant is encouraged to discuss experience in
interdisciplinary teaching and in establishing research activities.
