College of Education Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Teacher Education
Lehigh University’s College of Education seeks an emerging or established scholar and teacher educator for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the Teaching, Learning, and Technology (TLT) Program. The TLT doctoral program focuses on the design, development, and integration of innovative instructional practices to enhance teaching and learning in diverse settings. Our master’s and certification programs prepare teacher leaders to meet the needs of diverse learners through research-based, inclusive classroom practices that improve educational outcomes.
Candidates should have an earned doctorate in curriculum and instruction, early childhood education, educational technology, or a related field, with experience teaching PreK-4 learners (certification
preferred). Candidates should have expertise in one or more of our focal areas: (a) language and literacy development, (b) STEM education, (c) early childhood special education, and (d) technology integration or online learning. We are also seeking to expand our scholarship in the area of English language learners/dual language learners.
The successful candidate will work in a supportive environment to maintain an active research agenda, including the pursuit of external funding. The candidate will teach graduate-level courses, including teacher preparation and doctoral courses, and supervise and mentor Master’s and doctoral students.
Interdisciplinary collaborations are encouraged across the College’s other academic programs--Special Education, Educational Leadership, Comparative and International Education, Counseling Psychology, and School Psychology--and the university.
